There are many benefits of using henna for a healthy hair and it is one of the best natural remedies for hair-fall, dandruff and hair growth, but people still go with the chemical products for quicker results.

Overview

It has always been a bit difficult to color your hair with chemical products because there is a possibility of getting skin problems and itching. Usage of Henna for coloring hair has indulged from many decades, as ancients kings, queens used to mix up with some powerful herbs to color their hair.

The name is used in other skin and hair dyes, such as black henna and neutral henna, neither of which is derived from the henna plant. Historically, henna was used for cosmetic purposes primarily in Ancient India. It was also found to be used in the Arabian Peninsula, South Asia, Carthage and other parts of North Africa, and the Horn of Africa. Bridal henna nights remain an important custom in many of these areas, particularly among traditional families.

Henna has been used as a natural hair dye for 6,000 years. In Ancient Egypt, it is known to have been worn. Henna has also traditionally been used for centuries in other parts of North Africa, the Horn of Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, the Near East and South Asia.

This wonder shrub grows in the tropical and subtropical zones of Africa, Southern Asia, and Northern Australasia. Henna thrives just outside their desert regions. And the best quality Henna, known for its color richness and content purity, is grown and harvested in Northwestern India.

This lovely Divya Sanjivni Henna powder is made using safe and natural ingredients. It has the goodness of Henna, Methi, Amla, Bahera, Bhringraj, Kattha, Shikakai and Japapushp that detoxify, eliminate infections, treat the scalp to free it from dandruff, psoriasis etc. This also contains a good amount of minerals, calcium, magnesium, vitamins E, A and D.

Divya Sanjivni Henna is a transparent dye that coats the hair shaft, binding with the keratin. It conditions the hair giving it shine and body, in addition to a rich red color. Because it is a transparent dye, it will not change the color of your hair, only coat it with color.

Therefore, black hair will just have a reddish sheen when seen in direct sunlight, but blond or gray hair will become a brilliant orange and brown hair will become a deep shade of auburn. If you are dyeing your hair to cover the gray, the gray hairs will come out a bright, almost pink orange.

Divya Sanjivni Henna is a natural herbal powder which is not only used for coloring hair, but also helps to prevent hair-fall, hair loss, dandruff and scalp itching. It acts as a good conditioner for your hair and helps to grow your hair.

Divya Sanjivni Henna has a natural pigment Lawsone that leaves hair with a distinctly deep rich orange/red color. It colors the strands boldly yet maintains natural undertones and highlights—use it once and you’ll be a raving fan. It’s been a trusted safe hair color & treatment for over ten years. Go for it!

Divya Sanjivni Henna will activate with air and water. After mixing to a paste, you can apply directly to your hair for Natural, Super-Effective coloring. The Lawsone dye molecules actually color the hair by safely binding to their protein molecules. They darken as they absorb deeper into the hair and skin (bind to additional proteins). The color maxes out in about 48 hours and can naturally last for weeks.

Divya Sanjivni Henna 100% pure, the super-fine, triple-sifted texture releases maximum pigment and treatment agents. We use it (and love it) as the magical base to all our hair care products.

The color that results from dying with Divya Sanjivni henna depends on the original color of the hair, as well as the quality of the henna, and can range from orange to auburn to burgundy.

This product is backed by unmatched customer loyalty and ten years of positive customer reviews.

What it does

Divya Sanjivni Henna Naturally, Gently Colors Hair; Strengthens the Hair Shaft; Detoxes the follicles; Conditions the Scalp and Fights Dandruff.

Divya Sanjivni Henna’s pigment ‘lawsone’ gradually migrates into the hair shaft while setting and will naturally & gently binds to the keratin (protein) in your hair. It will actually maintain your current natural highlights and undertones.

Divya Sanjivni Henna fuses into, does not artificially cover, your existing hair color variations. The color appears completely natural—never “cakey” and artificial like traditional chemical-based hair dyes.

Divya Sanjivni Henna will condition and repair the hair while it colors during the treatment (1-2 hours+). Unlike artificial slick-coating leave-in conditioners, Divya Sanjivni henna works from the scalp up.

Divya Sanjivni Henna’s paste detoxes the scalp and roots (anti-bacterial & fungal); the lawsone pigment positively restructures the hair proteins; the cuticle layer of the hair smoothes and lies flat adding shine; and the rinsing of the dry paste naturally extracts hair residue (pollution, styling products, etc.) as it washes out—like a facial mud mask…just a natural.

Directions for use

Applying Divya Sanjivni Henna is not like applying any hair dye. The longer the hair, the messier it gets. However, henna is a non-damaging treatment for the hair and fades less quickly than artificial dyes. Divya Sanjivni Henna will vary according to the user’s natural hair color.

Divya Sanjivni Henna is grated into a non-metal container (metal may chemically interact with the henna and ruin the dye) such as a glass bowl. Then hot water is added to it, and the mixture is stirred with a non-metal tool such as a spatula. Handmade paste requires minimum 6 hours or overnight of resting and stirring, during which time.

Once dissolved, the Henna is spread onto clean and dry hair. The hair should then be covered with disposable plastic wrap to hold in the heat and moisture, which help the dye to activate. Since any henna that drips will dye skin or clothing, many users will then put a dark towel or a shower cap over the plastic.

Divya Sanjivni Henna typically requires at least two to three hours of processing time before it is washed out. Once hair is dyed with henna, the color will gradually fade, but it will do so slowly.

How to Apply Divya Sanjivni Henna to Hair

a) Put the Divya Sanjivni henna powder into  a non-metal container (metal may chemically interact  with the
henna and ruin the dye) such as a glass bowl. Then hot water is added to it, and the mixture is stirred with
    a non-metal tool such as a spatula.

b) The paste is applied on to the hair using a fine tipped applicator. Handmade paste  requires 6 hours or
overnight of resting and stirring, during which time. Once dissolved, the henna is spread onto clean, dry
    hair.

c) Apply Vaseline to the parts of the face that are close to your hairline. This will prevent them from getting
Divya Sanjivni Henna stains. You can start with wet hair or dry hair, but dry hair may be easier.

d) Put on your gloves and start applying the Divya Sanjivni Henna. Start at the top and take a very small
     partition of your hair.

e) Apply Divya Sanjivni Henna just to the roots and skin closest to the partition of hair. Use a lot of henna and
    a thick application.

f) Apply more Divya Sanjivni Henna to the length of the hair.

g) Start with the roots, and apply to the remaining length of hair as you are winding it.

h) Twist the hair section and leave it lying out of the way.

i) Make sure your next partition of hair is the one closest to the section your just did.

j) Understand that the hair will stay in place without clips, because you piled it at the top, and alternated the
direction or wrapping,  for each partition.  Keep doing this,  until you have applied Divya Sanjivni  Henna to
your entire head  of hair. (There are  also other methods for  applying Divya  Sanjivni Henna, if your  hair is
getting too messy. See the tips section.)

k) Leave the Divya Sanjivni henna in for 2-4 hours, or longer for a deeper color. You can leave it in overnight if
you like. Wrap your head in saran wrap or a plastic cap. Then wrap it all with a shower hood to prevent the
    henna from getting anywhere.

l) Rinse out all the Divya Sanjivni henna. This can be rather hard to do. You should put your head under a tap
and start  washing it with water  until it's clear.  Repeat  2-3 times to ensure all  the henna is  removed from
your hair. Henna acts  like a protein treatment  so your hair  will be very  strong, but  if may feel stiff or dry.
That's why you need a moisturizing treatment to counteract this.  Leave the treatment in  for at least 10-15
minutes. Then rinse your  head again,  apply more conditioner  if needed and detangle.  You should wait at
least 3 days to use Divya Sanjivni Hair Cleanser, as the henna color deepens over this time.

Precautions:

  • Henna stains some things, so don't get it on your clothes or shower curtain - if it does, remove it immediately. It will not stain metal, some plastics, or ceramics. Just wear old clothes and use old things when applying henna.
  • Use Rubber / Polly gloves when applying Divya Sanjivni Henna or you'll have orange stained hands for weeks!
  • As always make sure the Divya Sanjivni Henna suits your hair by doing a strand test. You can use hair from your brush.
  • Do a strand test on hair from your hairbrush to see the color and if it will break.
  • Do not use Divya Sanjivni Henna if you have used chemical dye, bleach or you have had your hair relaxed or permed without doing a strand test first.
